Windshield auto glass repair tip for bubble in the glass. Air shows and creates a bubble of air inside the chip. What you do to get rid of that bubble: As you are waiting for the resin to cure a little bubble starts to form, you don’t have much time at this point because the resin is setting up, the good news is there is something simple you can do to remove that bubble from the chip. Use a blunt neddle and push down on the tab, just over the exact spot of the drill hole in the windshield. Push down as the repair is hardening up, you’ll see as you push down on the tab the bubble goes away, but if you stop pushing to soon the spot will come back. Keep pushing until resin is fully hardened, then the bubble wont come back. When the repair area is hardened the pit area will be slightly down, just put a some resin and a tab on the windshield and make the chip or crack area flush.   windshield repair sound interesting…..but why do you have to “drill”a hole in my windshield…..sounds kinda scary….wont that break my windshield??? there are enough rocks in houston traveling down 59 to do that!!!cant you fix it without “drilling” the windshield?

  Clint at Chips and Cracks Winshield Repair did this exact procedure on my car – sounds scary, but it works, he repaired my windshield crack.

  Thanks for the comments, marie. To answer your qustion of coarse you can repair a windshield with out drilling a hole, but if the repair chip or crack needs to be drilled to be the best repair possible thats a good reason to do so. It might sound scarry to you drilling a hole in the windshield, but to me it's just another repair. I have drilled more holes in windshields than most dentist will ever drill holes in teeth. And your right there are enof rocks on the freeways of Houston those rocks have kept me in buisness since 1996.
